We gather the Uffculme Show has been running for 35 years and has been run by the Rotary Club of Exe Valley (Tiverton) for the last 15 of those.

Uffculme Show 2018
In contrast to 2017 (see below) the sun shone, the people came, the money flowed and the laughter and music rang out.
A record footfall benefited all our commercial partners and also helped Exe Valley's charity fund raise over £10,000 for local and international charities - all thanks to the incredible support of the community and our sponsors and volunteers.
We cannot promise the same weather for 2019 but we will do our best to make it an equally good event!
Uffculme Show 2017
Many of us looked out of our windows early on Mayday Monday morning wondering whether all of our efforts were to be thwarted particularly following a period of heavy rain the previous day! Fortunately our fears were unfounded as the early rain petered out and the ground already hardened by several dry weeks held up very well allowing stall holders and entertainers to set up without difficulty.
By 10 o’clock everything was in place as “Farmer John” Greenslade MBE with his wife Jeanette arrived to open the show. Thanks to them both very much for coming.
After a slow start prompted no doubt by the now receding storms and encouraged by a live broadcast on radio Devon and messages on social media, the crowds began to roll in, too late sadly for several of our classic car entrants who decided to leave their prize possessions at home (and their cars too!). Soon Tano Taiko were drumming and Men Behaving Tradly, our new resident band, taking over from the retired Ukelele Crazy team, were playing their hearts out under the two new Canopies brought in to protect the entertainers this year. Birds of Prey provided by Bay Bird Falconry flew over the show ground while Sicro Magic entertained us with his tricks and balloon modelling. Rainbow Gecko provided bubbles galore and a magnificent group of Kalash Dancers provided their own brand of special entertainment on the main stage, (no wet feet this year!) while the excellent Thunderbridge Blue Grass took over the music slot.
The highlight for many Mums and Dads at midday was an hour of music and song from the pupils at Uffculme School and new for this year also from Uffculme Primary School. We thank them and the staff, who all gave up their bank holiday very much for giving us such a great show.
Regular attenders now were the wonderful Lusitano horses provided and ridden by Ed and Chris Hannaford. Did I see a Unicorn or was it all a dream? Kirk and Kathleen Lovely with their own super horse also gave us a unique insight into Outrageous Dressage!
As always turn out from the Exe Valley Club was fantastic both on the day and at the set up on the previous weekend. Skittles, welly throwing, gates, carparks and the burger stall were all manned by Rotarians and their wives, partners, friends and children. Minor setbacks with windblown Gazebos, a shortage of Barbecues and incompatible gas cylinders were soon overcome!
Receipts were inevitably down this year but everyone who came seemed to enjoy it and those who looked out of their windows that morning and decided not to come really missed out on a fantastic day.
